The Microsoft Excel SUM function sums or adds all numbers which are in a range of cells and returns the result.
Syntax
The syntax for the SUM function in Microsoft Excel is:
SUM( number1, [number2, ... number_n] )
OR
SUM ( cell1:cell2, [cell3:cell4], ... )
Excel sum function would return the number after adding the range, and excel sum formula can be done as a excel sum shorcut like AutoSum which is a fast, easy way to add up multiple values in Excel.
Excel Sum Formula Example
The above example would return 30,000 as the range can be selected like this sum(A2:A7) which would add the excel sum of columns in the result.
