Excel Count function
The Excel Count Function is used to count or get the number of entries in a nummber field. It takes the range or array and count the range. It generally counts the number, values we supplied can be constants, reference of the cells, or they can be a ranges.
Example of Count Function in Excel
In the example we have a range of cells from a1 to a7 and We tried COUNT(A1:A7)
The Result of the count function is 5
Text Values are ignored
In our example it can be seen that Excel count function ignores the text values.
Blank Cells are ignored
Excel Count function has also ignored blank cells and the answer does not contain it.
Excel Count function text can bee seen in the example,
Excel Count function not working sometimes when the range is not selected accordingly.
Excel Count function returns 0 when there is no number in the range.
Excel Count function ignores zero and Excel Count function excluded zero when they formatted as text.
